KiDi
Since shooting to fame as the winner of 2015's MTN Hit Maker (Ghana), Kidi – also known as Dennis Nana Dwamena – has successfully carved a niche for himself with his smooth voice and charming persona.
After completing Accra Academy Senior High School, KiDi discovered his passion for music while at the University of Ghana (Legon), where he studied Economics & Information Studies. In 2015, he won the MTN Hit Maker competition and went on to be signed to the award-winning Ghanaian record label Lynx Entertainment. He has since then relentlessly released timeless single after single; "Say You Love Me," "Odo," "Adiepena," "Thunder," and his 2020 smash hits "Say Cheese" and "Enjoyment," which led to him being included in BBC’s Ten African Music Stars to Look Out For in 2021.
KiDi has received several nominations for awards across and beyond Ghana. He won the Highlife Song of the Year Award for "Odo" at the 2018 Ghana Music Awards, Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2019 Awards, Album of the Year for his debut album Sugar at the 2020 Awards, and the 2020 Artist of the Year at Ghana’s 3Music Awards. He also won 4 major awards at the 2021 Ghana Music Awards for Afrobeats Artist of the Year, EP of the Year, Highlife Song of the Year for "Enjoyment," and Afrobeats Song of the Year for "Say Cheese". He was crowned Artist of the Year at the 2022 Ghana Music Awards and also picked up 4 other major awards alongside this.
